Zen and Now

Definitions:

ZEN: a major school of Buddhism originating in 12th-century China that emphasizes enlightenment through meditation and insight

CLOTH: fabric made by weaving, knitting, or felting thread or fibers

The purpose of this blog is to explore these terms by the unification of handwork; stitching cloth by hand.

Handwork: work done by hand not by machine.

Handwork+Cloth=ZEN

  1. fabulous title – encapsulates exactly how i feel and what i experience with hand stitching – the seeming simplicity of small straight stitches, a very meditative experience indeed.
